By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/en/article/modern-classic-painting-nick-alm-i-refer-primarily-to-the-inner-worldNorwegian Nick ALM is a talented painter, which can without exaggeration be called a classic of modern European painting. His paintings are beautiful and timeless — they would be relevant a hundred years ago and will certainly be clear to our descendants. The artist believes that art should be accessible to people of all cultural traditions, upbringing and education, and to this rule he adheres to in his work.
The artist graduated from the Florence Academy of art — one of the best in Europe. After that, Nick became a member of the "Hudson river school" — as he calls the community of contemporary artists, which in its formation a significant impact. ALM studied painting nerdrum of odda in Norway, and then took lessons with renowned artists in France and Sweden, before he founded his own Studio and began to participate in exhibitions.
The artist often repeats in interviews that his goal is not the criticism and the changing society and attempt to give the viewer the opportunity to escape from an imperfect world and, if lucky, to Wake himself creative. And creativity, as we know, is already able to change a lot.
You've probably noticed that most heroines of the works of nick Alma are women. It seems to us that the painter could add to the list of artists glorifying female beauty.
