Categories: Catastrophes

After heavy rains, a massive landslide hit a valley in the northeastern province of Badakhshan on Friday morning, destroying about 300 houses. The impact of the elements fell on the settlement of Khobo-Barik. Afghan authorities said more than 2,000 people had died. However, this information was later refuted. At the moment, the number of victims of the disaster is about 300 people. The authorities expect that the number of victims will not exceed 500 people.
