How does the digital mural at the incredible futuristic building market Rotterdam

Multimedia artist Arno cunén spoke about how six years ago was working on a Grand project for the decoration of the building Markthal in Rotterdam. On the inner side of the dome, which is located under the market hall, there was a huge fresco of the "horn of plenty". Its size was 11,000 square metres. This is one of the largest artwork in the world.

Markthal is a modern residential and office building with a market hall, designed by the architectural firm MVRDV. The building has a curved shape and resembles a horseshoe.

"Six years ago I had the opportunity to take part in the most insane to date, the project in my career, says Arno cunén. Developer Provast was looking for an artist to create a huge mural on the ceiling of the round and I won the competition — they chose my design! The project was given only three months.

I had no idea how to implement it, because it was necessary to make a digital image with a width of two football fields with a resolution of 150 pixels per inch. So I have assembled a team of experts in 3D and friends".

Markthal dubbed the "Sistine chapel of Rotterdam." The complex was inaugurated in 2014.
