Among his impressive works are views of the Socotra archipelago, located between the Guardafui Channel and the Arabian Sea. The main attraction of the islands is the evergreen dragon trees, which became the heroes of the pictures.
Daniil Korzhonov's photographs, taken at dawn, in the golden hour of sunset and under the starry sky, demonstrate the unique patterns formed by the interweaving of branches. The sprawling "inverted" crowns and dark red tree sap oozing from the trunks gave the cinnabar-red dracaena an unusual mythological name — the dragon tree. "According to legend, the first dragon tree appeared from the blood of a dragon who was wounded in a battle with an elephant," says the photographer.
Daniil Korzhonov not only publishes photos from around the world on his website and on Instagram, but also describes in detail the methods and equipment that he used for filming, as well as conducts photo tours.
