In her youth, Jennifer Dingle was a "late bloomer". All her friends had their periods a long time ago, but she still didn't have one. Alas, the girl did not wait for them: during the examination, the gynecologist found that Jennifer did not have a uterus. She was diagnosed with Mayer—Rokitansky—Kuster—Hauser syndrome (MRC). This is a congenital defect in which a girl is born without a uterus and cannot bear a child in the future. Nevertheless, Jennifer managed to outwit nature and give birth to two healthy children. Find out from our material how she did it.

Jennifer, 33, recalls feeling devastated after she found out her diagnosis. But she never gave up hope of becoming a mother. Thanks to the achievements of modern medicine, the American woman's wish came true, and she gave birth to two healthy daughters. This became possible after a uterus transplant from a donor in December 2016. Jennifer became one of the first women in America to successfully undergo such a complex procedure.

In 2011, Jennifer met Jason, and in 2014, the lovers got married. The couple began to think about how they could become parents. In 2016, the couple received a call from the girl's mother and told them that Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, was looking for 10 women for an experiment to transplant their uterus from donors. This call changed the couple's life.

Jennifer immediately applied to participate in the experiment. In July 2016, the woman was informed that she had been accepted into a test group of patients. In September, she went to Texas and began a difficult process on the way to the desired motherhood. In November, doctors managed to obtain five embryos by artificial insemination. The clinic also found a donor who was ready to donate her uterus.

In 2016, an American woman's uterus was transplanted with a donor uterus. The operation lasted 9 hours. In January 2017, 27-year-old Jennifer started menstruating for the first time. She became the second woman in the United States, whose uterus has successfully taken root.

Six months after the operation, the American woman was planted with an embryo. Everything went well, and in February 2018, their first daughter Giovanna was born. The girl was born by scheduled Caesarean section at 36 weeks, weighing 2.9 kg.

In August 2018, doctors offered Jennifer to plant a second embryo. The couple decided to take this step. Unfortunately, the first and second attempts ended in miscarriages. There was still one embryo on which the parents had pinned their last hope. Fortunately, this time everything worked out, and the woman became pregnant for the second time in July 2019.

In February 2020, the second daughter, Jade, was born. She was also born by Caesarean section at 38 weeks of pregnancy, weighing 3.37 kg. Thus, Jennifer became the first woman in the United States to give birth to two children with a donor uterus.

The American woman is very grateful to the woman who donated her uterus to her. Jennifer found her through Facebook and hopes that one day they will meet. So far, this procedure is considered a temporary solution. After one or two successful pregnancies, the patient's donor uterus is removed to avoid the development of infection.

The couple are happy that, thanks to modern medicine, they were able to become parents of two wonderful girls. Jennifer and Jason say that in the future they will definitely tell their daughters the wonderful story of their birth.

The world is not without kind people. The mother gave her dead son's heart to save the life of a terminally ill girl.
