On Friday, one of the warehouses of the famous Barton 1792 Distillery collapsed in Bardstown, Kentucky. For unknown reasons, a building built in the 1940s collapsed, where 18 thousand barrels of whiskey were stored.

Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the collapse of the warehouse. Unfortunately, most of the barrels stored in the warehouse were broken. Now work is underway to assess the damage, which can last for many weeks.

Imagine a situation where bourbon got into the groundwater, and from there from the artesian installation — directly into the tap… Experts did have suspicions that the nearest river was polluted with whiskey, but after taking tests, it became clear that everything was fine with the water.

There are 29 warehouses and 22 other buildings on its territory. Anyone can visit the factory: free excursions are provided for tourists here.

The famous Chateau Giscours winery was convicted of illegally adding sugar to wine. According to a court decision, 397 hectoliters of wine worth a total of 2.2 million euros were confiscated and destroyed in Bordeaux.
