1. Call, Japan.
The Japanese version of The Ring is horror, and if you were a kid in the early 2000s, it probably still haunts you to this day.
2. Curse, Japan.
An eerie vision of a little boy, a creaky haunted house, and a terrifyingly scary ghost of a despised woman. But there is something ingenious and subtle about the film by Japanese director Takashi Shimizu.
3. Dark waters, Japan.
Newly divorced Yoshimi Matsubara is forced to move into a grim old apartment with her daughter. She soon notices a dark spot on the ceiling that appears to be seeping water - as this happens, strange things begin to happen, including disturbing visions of a ghostly little girl who seems to be drawing the mother-son duo into the supernatural.

In this psychological thriller, a girl returns home to her father, sister, and desperate stepmother after spending time in an orphanage.
5. Train to Busan, South Korea.
Right in the throes of a zombie outbreak, Gong Yoo and his estranged daughter are trapped on a speeding train bound for Busan, the only city in the country where they'll be safe. They soon discover that there are infected passengers on the train, and the zombie army on board begins to multiply at an alarming rate.
6. Shutter, Thailand.
The adage “a picture is worth a thousand words” takes on new meaning in this cult classic. Fleeing a tragic accident, a photographer named Tun and his girlfriend Jane begin to see strange shapes in the photographs they take - soon enough, off-screen horror emerges.
7. Congyam Psychiatric Hospital, Philippines
Gongjiam Mental Hospital is South Korea's contribution to the "horror film genre". The film is based on the real-life psychiatric hospital of the same name and follows the crew of a horror series who travels to an abandoned asylum to broadcast live.
