Without a shadow of regret: a New York tattoo parlor makes tattoos that disappear after a year

Tattoos are made by many, but there are also those who then bitterly regret an unsuccessful phrase or a ridiculous image that remains on the skin forever. In one of the tattoo parlors in New York, they found a way out. Here they fill in tattoos that disappear after a year. Thus, customers can not worry about the fact that the design will not like it: the picture or the inscription will not remain on the body for the rest of their lives.

When we get a tattoo, we don't know if we'll always like it. So that customers do not regret the rash drawing for life, the studio Ephemeral Tattoo offers ink that remains on the skin for only a year. A special formula was created by graduates of the Faculty of Chemical Technology Brennal Pierre and Vandan Shah (Brennal Pierre and Vandan Shah).

Young scientists began to develop the composition in 2014. They tested more than fifty different formulas. Its two main components are ink polymers and dyes. Based on their knowledge in the field of biomolecular engineering, the specialists worked with protein stability and the creation of proteins, since tattoos are the connection between the skin (protein) and ink. The composition turned out to be biologically compatible and biodegradable.

Chemists say that creating ink that brightens quickly wasn't their only goal. The scientists wanted the paint to look good on the skin and stay on it for quite a long time. The first samples of the composition disappeared from the skin within a week, but after improving the formula, the tattoos remained for 9 to 15 months.

Brennal and Vandan tested the invention on themselves. They made about a hundred experimental tattoos, most of which have already disappeared.

Temporary tattoos are performed in the same way as regular tattoos, so that clients experience painful sensations during the procedure. Perhaps not everyone is willing to endure pain for the sake of a temporary drawing.

People who have made permanent tattoos, and then regretted it, go to different tricks. Basically, they overlap old drawings with new ones, and the result is amazing.
