Why do they seal windows with air bubble wrap in the USA?

Packaging air-bubble wrap is the same "pupyrka" that everyone appreciates as a great anti – stress, in the United States they use it for one more important thing. In the United States, you can see that this material is glued from the inside of the windows and this raises questions for tourists who are inexperienced in the subtleties of American life. In fact, everything is simple and this film performs the same role as our foil. But if you believe the experts, "pupyrka" copes much better with the heat.

A physicist from the United States, Gianni Edward, claims that the use of bubble wrap is fully justified and this material can partially replace the air conditioner.

The air located in the bubbles of the film is an excellent heat insulator that does not allow heat to penetrate into the room in summer, and in winter – to leave through the windows to the street heat. The expert, based on calculations, says that the "pupyrka" layer replaces the second chamber of the double-glazed window, but at the same time the modernization of windows costs almost nothing.

To make such protection from the heat at home, you need to take a long cloth of air-bubble film. If you do not have a single panel, then you can carefully cut a large package from such a film. The ideal option is when the bubbles are located on both sides, but if the material is one-sided, then by folding it in half and carefully fastening it with tape, you can correct the situation.

When the membrane is prepared and cut to the size of the double-glazed window, it remains only to fix it. You can fix the insulation with tape, but it is better to use ordinary water for this. On a cleanly washed glass, water is sprayed with a spray gun, and then a film is carefully applied.

It should be added that such a film conducts light well, so even the material folded twice will almost not be reflected in the natural lighting of the room. But it will be much more difficult to see what is happening in the room from the outside, even if the light is turned on in the room.

Unlike the foil that is popular in the southern regions of Russia, the air-bubble film is easily removed if necessary and can be reused. At the end of summer, you just need to carefully peel off the membrane from the window, roll it up and send it to a secluded place for storage.
