Kasi's photomanipulations are surreal works of art that act as a metaphor for life, expressing themes such as loneliness, isolation, restlessness…
Kasia Derwinska is a photographer, a photo artist who creates enchanted photos filled with dreams and daydreams. Her works are more like fairy-tale plots with elements of fantasy and surrealism. In her works, she combines such things as dreams and reflections on a variety of topics. Dreams themselves are encrypted allegories, and by correctly depicting some plots from them, you can get a very deep meaning.
Derwinska does not consider herself a photographer, she sees photography simply as a means through which she can express herself. She says:
The creativity of this photo artist is interesting in the quality of photo manipulations. First of all, they are remarkable for their realism. At the same time, most of her works are imbued with some kind of philosophical silence. They are a bit melancholic and talk about things like finding meaning and loneliness.
Such a feeling as loneliness is familiar to every person, because even in our crowded world, this feeling does not leave us.
Each person considers himself an individual who is fundamentally different from all other people. Probably, it is this disidentification that gives us a feeling of loneliness, when a person has no one to share his innermost feelings and sensations with, even when there are a lot of people around.
The works of the photographer are a little sad, but they do not lose their special beauty and depth of emotions.
