Chicago is the third most populous city in the United States, where 2.7 million people live. Photographer Michael Salisbury (Michael Salisbury) in the series ChiMinusChi ("Chicago minus Chicago") presented what a busy metropolis would look like if all the inhabitants left it. He was inspired by the project of the Japanese Masataka Nakano about the empty streets of Tokyo.

"These images show a surreal panorama of the city. You will never see its empty streets and highways in reality. This is not a post-apocalypse or something like that, the photos have an invigorating and calm mood — after all, we have completely different associations with one of the largest cities in the world," Salisbury explains.
