This role for actress Natalia Danilova became fateful — after the release of the film "The meeting place cannot be changed", incredible popularity fell on her. But none of the audience suspected the cost of what efforts she was given to work on the image, because it was at that moment that the actress had to endure one of the most difficult trials. However, there were a lot of them in her later life.
Natalia Danilova's film debut took place at school age: at the age of 13, she starred in the children's film "Tomorrow, the third of April ...". Director Igor Maslennikov drew attention to the talented girl and advised her to get an acting education after school.
Natalia not only easily entered the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, but was enrolled immediately in the second year. During her studies, she met Askhab Abakarov, a student of the directing faculty, and married him.
Natalia began performing on the stage of the theater immediately after completing her studies — after seeing her graduation performance, Georgy Tovstonogov invited her to join the BDT troupe (Bolshoi Drama Theater named after G.A. Tovstonogov). Her husband, having refused a lucrative offer in Georgia, stayed with her in Leningrad, but there his career collapsed. At the same time, new trials fell on the family: feeling unwell, Natalia turned to doctors, and they prescribed her a course of treatment with potent hormonal drugs.
As it turned out later, the diagnosis was made incorrectly, the actress was pregnant, and hormones caused irreparable harm to the child's health. On the advice of doctors, Natalia had an abortion. Askhab really wanted children and could not forgive his wife for this act. Then she could not imagine that this would be the reason for her separation from her husband and that she would not be able to have children anymore.

Three years after these events, Natalia Danilova was offered the role of Varya Sinichkina in the film "The meeting place cannot be changed." Her heroine was the beloved of Volodya Sharapova, it was in this image that she was remembered by millions of viewers. The most difficult for her was the scene with the adoption of a baby.
That day, she could not hold back tears at the sight of a newborn and almost fainted from the feelings that flooded over her, the filming process had to be interrupted. She was helped to recover by her partner Vladimir Vysotsky, to whom she unexpectedly told herself about a personal drama.
Later, the actress recalled: "My heroine had to swaddle the baby and take him in her arms. But then, approaching the table on which the baby was lying, I burst into tears and jumped out of the pavilion...Govorukhin was nervous — for several takes I have not been able to complete the simplest task. But how can I admit that I recently lost a child and I can't walk past the showcases with baby clothes without tears! I was crying bitterly, buried in the dark curtain. Volodya Vysotsky came out after me... "Have a drink!" — and I obediently took a sip of cognac. I told Volodya everything: about early marriage, and about criminal abortion. And he taught me how to concentrate and pull myself together..."
This role brought the actress All-Union popularity. After the film was released , an unknown woman approached Natalia on the street and said: "Children are named after your Varya!"
Despite the fact that Natalia had many other roles before and after this film, most viewers associated her with this image.

Until 1994, Natalia Danilova starred a lot and shone on the BDT stage, but after a crisis broke out in the cinema, she, like many actors, was left without a job. The 1990s became the most difficult period in her life: at first she was engaged in dubbing films, but then this work also disappeared.

To survive, she had to take things to a thrift store and collect bottles. Then she was left completely alone — first her mother died, and after her, at the age of 45, the second husband of the actress died of a stroke.
She still remembers this time with horror: "Seryozha died, my mother died before that, I was very ill. And I don't even have anyone to serve me water. That was scary. I was lying there and just dying all alone. Then she made an effort, got up and walked down the street with a buzzing head to the nearest thrift store with another crystal vase. I received money and bought aspirin at the pharmacy. Thank God, I didn't want to eat anything. At first I was talking to myself. I read books aloud to myself so that I could hear my voice. I caught myself talking to my mother, answering something to Seryozha… And nothing, I survived!"

This continued until 2001, when the actress was able to return to the profession again. Since that time and to this day, she continues to actively act in feature films and TV series and perform on the stage of the theater.

Today Natalia Danilova is a successful and in—demand actress who has played dozens of roles in cinema and theater, but most viewers do not even realize that she is the same Varya Sinichkina, who fell in love with millions in the 1980s.
