She says: "Back in May, Emirates announced that it would show something new at the Dubai Air Show, which was recently held at Al Maktoum Airport.
Let's see how the Arabs managed to surprise the sophisticated audience."
Let me remind you first what the brand new B-777-300ER ("three axes") looks like.
Oh, hello, dear guests, come in as soon as possible.
So. First, Emirates has introduced new, fully enclosed luxury suites in the Boeing 777-300ER.
All new 777s coming to the airline will have six first-class rooms in the layout 1+1+1 (compared to the current 1+2+1 ).
Each of the suites offers up to 40 square feet (3.7 square meters) of space per passenger and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors.
The suites were created in collaboration with Boeing technicians, seat manufacturer Rockwell Collins, electronics pioneer Panasonic, Jacques Pierre Jean Design Studio and Teague Industrial company in Seattle.
The inspiration was a luxury Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan with a cream palette of champagne colors and light gray tones.
There are also specially designed upper shelves and full-size wardrobes.
What else is new? Passengers who have a porthole in their suite will view the surface of the earth using binoculars, which the airline offers.
And those whose cabins are located in the center of the cabin will have virtual windows, to which a picture from cameras broadcasting live from outside the aircraft will be transmitted in real time.
Yes, these are fake portholes-screens. Fantasy.
Of course, the seats recline and turn into full-fledged flat beds.
Everyone is given an "inspiration kit", which includes Hydra Active moisturizing branded pajamas, Bulgari amenity kits and Byredo fragrances, skin care products.
What's that? Moisturizing pajamas? Yes, yes, you heard right. Here's how it is described: "As you know, the air in the plane dries the skin. So, from now on, wealthy travelers don't have to worry about this. This innovative clothing uses the Hydra Active microcapsule technology. Its essence is as follows: microscopic capsules are attached to the tissue, which, when in contact with the body, secrete kelp extract. These algae have a pronounced moisturizing effect and perfectly nourish the skin. According to the creators of the miracle pajamas, the nightgown retains its amazing properties for up to ten washes, which means that passengers will be able to use it again and again."
And then everyone imagined sleeping, and the capsules explode and algae envelop the body. Pajamas for some reason were not shown, so there is no photo.
Passengers will be able to leave requests to the cabin crew and order lunches using the video call function. The suites also have individual service windows where you can order drinks and small plates without interfering with the passenger's personal space.
The entertainment system has 2500 channels, 32-inch HD LCD TVs. The new Bowers & Wilkins Acitve Noise Canceling E1 headphones are specially made by order of Emirates.
This is how the suite looks without an airplane. By the way, all first class passengers will use the services of a chauffeur in Mercedes S-class cars upon arrival or departure from the United Arab Emirates.
Secondly, Emirates has slightly updated the business class.
The layout has not changed, it's the same 2+3+2 and seats with a 72-inch pitch.
There are touch controls for the seat and entertainment system, personal lighting settings, privacy panels, a shoe storage space, a footrest and a personal mini-bar.
A huge table.
Business Class passengers can have lunch at any time on demand.
Private mini-bar with drinks and snacks.
Wireless tablets with entertainment programs.
Emirates started using the new salons on December 1 on routes from Dubai to Brussels and Geneva.
In business, moisturizing pajamas were clamped.
Cozy.
The magazine compartment is smoothly pulled back, you can stuff a lot of waste paper.
Outside the window at this time Al Fursan circles are being cut.
View of the engine from business class. The economy is already sitting near the engine itself and further to the tail.
Cards. Click.
Economy class. Economical seats are equipped with a new color palette of gray and blue.
Layout 3+4+3 .
Curious in the kitchen.
Currently, the airline has 165 Boeing 777 aircraft in its fleet and 164 more are waiting for a firm order, including 150 next-generation Boeing 777s.
