The show of the new Collina Strada collection as part of Fashion Week was held on the roof of a New York skyscraper. The podium and the surrounding space were decorated in a very unusual way – cabbage, carrots and other gifts of fields and vegetable gardens. This is due to the fact that the American brand dedicated the collection to nature and a healthy lifestyle, as it is now fashionable.

The guests were presented clothes with a predominance of bright, green shades made of light natural fabrics. The fashion designers of Collina Strada were as always on top, but the attention of the audience was attracted not only by the outfits of the models, but also by their unusual makeup. It was created especially for this important event by makeup artist Ellie Smith, who paid attention not so much to the girls ' faces as to their ears.

Smith sprinkled rainbow sequins and pigments of green, gold, orange, yellow and blue colors on the models ' ears. She also touched up the tips of the girls ' fingers, getting a very cute and strange effect. According to the idea of the makeup artist, small sequins on the ears should depict magic dust from the elven forest.

It seems that the idea was successful and the make-up of the ears began to be discussed almost more actively than the clothes from the new collection. Smith has already shared with journalists the secret of "magic dust".

The master said that she mixed M. A. C pigments and eye shadow with a cream base, and then applied it all to the lobes and the circumference of the ears with a brush. Despite the creamy base, the sequins look like a real magic dust.

Judging by the way the Collina Strada find was accepted in the fashion world, it can be assumed that ear makeup has a right to life. It is difficult to say whether it will become a mass trend in the spring and summer of 2022, but we will certainly see it more than once at fashion events.

In fairness, it should be said that models began to appear on the podium with decorated ears back in 2013, but until now it was customary to simply paint the auricle completely or partially in some color, for example, in gold or silver. At the same show, a make-up of this type was presented for the first time as a real work of a makeup artist.

But whatever happens, it will still be better than the "beef" makeup of the 90s, to which some people still remain faithful.
