It's almost impossible to take a good picture without taking hundreds of selfie sticks at the same time. But British photographer Oliver Curtis took an unconventional approach to the task of avoiding the crowd. He just shoots famous places, pointing the camera in the opposite direction. The photo series is called Volte-face. The photographer had the idea of the project when he was at the pyramids in Giza. "Nearby I saw a newly built golf course, its paths and bright greenery. I thought this visual sandwich of contrasting colors, textures and shapes was interesting... because of the strangeness of my location. I was standing near one of the great wonders of the world, facing the wrong way."
