Although the animals in Disney cartoons are usually easily recognizable, many of us still perceive them as people - after all, all these animals are quite anthropomorphic, that is, they have human features. Wisconsin-based artist Puletto went even further and drew these characters as if they were human, giving them some ethnic features as well.

She told Cosmopolitan magazine that she was terribly upset by the number of "white-skinned and red-haired Simba lions." “After all, events are unfolding in Africa!” Puletto says.
