What are you? Meet the mascot of the Kaliningrad stadium named Edik

The fashion for mascots has swept Russia. We have already seen the brutal rescuer of the Tula Gingerbread and the symbol of the Kaluga Ministry of Nature, the cute muskrat Hohul. It seems there is nothing left to surprise us with, but do not rush to conclusions. The other day, the Kaliningrad stadium, located in the city of the same name, presented its mascot Edik.

If you see the symbol of this sports arena, you will be somewhat puzzled. If you can somehow identify Gingerbread and Khokhulya on the second or third attempt, then everything is more difficult with Edik. A mentally healthy person will have few options to define this character. A tie? Picket fence from the fence? A road sign to Hell?

You can test the power of imagination of your friends and colleagues, let them try to guess. We will honestly tell you that Edik is a concrete pile. The press service of the Kaliningrad Stadium presented the mascot in its official Instagram. The caption under the photo with the colorful character reads:

Such is the phenomenon of Edik to the people with the distribution of goods. Of course, Edik did not become a celebrity thanks to the generosity of sponsors. His image is simple, beautiful, not hackneyed and symbolic.

Denis Shumilin, the deputy director of the stadium, came up with the hero, and the designer of the object brought the idea to life. The author told the story of the creation of Edik, but, being a very busy person, he did it concisely.

It becomes clear that Edik will have accounts in social networks any minute, where he will "light up" and attract a young audience to the sports arena. The first video of Edik's concrete pile will appear in TikTok on Monday. Its creators are confident in the success of the mascot with reinforced concrete. How could it be otherwise, with such a spectacular guy?
