Wedding in the style of the series "Game of Thrones"

This contest was timed to coincide with the start of the new season of Game of Thrones on Blinkbox. According to representatives of the online cinema, they wanted to find a couple in love who would be as obsessed with the series as they are. After the expensive event, Kerry said that she showed her future husband a Facebook post about the action with the words: “What kind of madmen would go for this?”, And Darren then secretly applied for participation.

With the help of a team of professional make-up and costume designers, the couple turned into Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, and among their guests could be seen Hodor, the White Walker, Ygritte, Brienne of Tarth, Khal Drogo and other characters from the popular series of novels by George Martin. The ceremony itself was held in a 19th-century castle and featured real half-wolves and a snow-white horse. It took a professional designer about five weeks to create one cake from five levels: the baking and molding process itself lasted about 20 hours. Each layer represents one of the royal dynasties, and is crowned with a bloodied Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones is well known for its bloody weddings, but Darren and Kerry's ceremony was uneventful. The choice of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen as characters for husband and wife is not accidental: fans of the series assume that these two heroes symbolize ice and fire in the title of a series of novels by George Martin.
