Vedic Wives: Quit your job, take off your underwear and be happy!By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/vedic-wives-quit-your-job-take-off-your-underwear-and-be-happy.html
In recent years, you can often hear such a concept as"Vedic wife". Hundreds of spiritual guides and teachers have taught women how to behave in accordance with the Vedas. The main ideologists of this direction can be considered Oleg Torsunov and Olga Valyaeva, from whose books most experts "draw the sources of wisdom". So what are the Vedas and how does a Vedic wife differ from an ordinary one?
The Vedas, so popular today – are an ancient collection of Hindu scriptures. There are four books of the Vedas: Rigveda - "Veda of Hymns", Jurveda - "Veda of sacrificial formulas", Samaveda — "Veda of chants" and Atharvaveda - "Veda of Incantations". As we can see, there is no hint of femininity and harmony in the family in any of the names.
Another important nuance is that the Vedas are intended for initiates. They include the "twice-born" representatives of the three highest castes. The Shudras, that is, ordinary people-hired workers, servants and peasants-were strictly forbidden to read the Vedas. It was forbidden to touch the Vedas and women, which already tells us a lot.
But why are we so actively "sold" the image of the Vedic wife, if there are no instructions for women in the Vedas, and the books themselves were forbidden for the fair sex? It's simple – teachers who preach "Vedic" values are well aware that the average layman knows very little about the Vedas and just heard that this is the holy book of the Hindus, the same as the Christian Bible and the Muslim The Koran.
How can it not be in such a book of centuries-old wisdom for all occasions? Maybe, because the Vedas are a collection of mantras, that is, chants and incantations for priests of different ranks. What Torsunov, Valyaeva, and dozens of other "adepts of Vedic philosophy" tell their gullible readers is not there at all. It is very easy to check a lie, but who will have the patience to read the Vedas, from cover to cover?
And the concepts of "Vedic philosophy", "Vedic psychology", "Slavic Vedas", "Aryan Vedas", "Indian Vedas" and, finally, "Vedic femininity" sound solid and mysterious, and therefore sell well. So what do the resourceful gurus serve us in their impressive works under this exotic sauce?
The instructions for Vedic wives say that a woman must have something there. But at the same time, in order not to cause embarrassment to anyone, everything is served in such a way that it is not due to someone, but only for their own female happiness.
The happiness and prosperity of the family is guaranteed if the spouse is pleasing to her husband. Teacher Oleg Torsunov, doctor, however, not of Vedic science, but of dermatovenerology, deduces 25 duties for wives:
1. Create a family 2. Save a family 3. Make a Man 4. Organize all household chores 5. Perform all household chores 6. Be faithful to a Man in body, deed, and mind 7. Become a Man's best friend 8. Be beautiful and sexy for your Man 9. Inspire a Man 10. Eat sweet food 11. Wearing jewelry 12. Enjoy beautiful clothes 13. Wear long skirts 14. Always feel the closeness of your beloved Man – do not move away 15. Respect a Man 16. Appreciate a Man and praise Him 17. Admire A Man 18. Obey A Man 19. Be able to manage your emotions 20. Have self-control-patience 21. Talk in a quiet and gentle voice 22. Be sensitive 23. Participate in the upbringing of children 24. Serve a Man – do with love 25. Do not perform the duties of a Man.
It is easy to see that in all these rules about women and women's happiness there is not a word and they are all dedicated exclusively to men. At the same time, the Man is always written with a capital letter, which is also very important. For beautiful ladies, there are only two rules that have a very distant relation to women's happiness: eat sweet things and dress beautifully.
Although, if you turn to the works of Dr. Torsunov, it becomes clear that you need to dress beautifully to delight the eyes of a man, and eat sweets in order to less hysteria and not irritate your master. So women's happiness in the sense in which we expect to see it, in Vedic science, there is no version of the doctor-venereologist.
Olga Valyaeva is a follower and student of Dr. Torsunov, who surpassed her mentor in both productivity and monetization of her ideas. This woman calls herself a "Vedic psychologist" and gives out one book after another. In addition, Valyaeva conducts seminars and trainings on psychology. What is characteristic – this expert has no psychological education.
The page with the promising title "Summary", which is found in almost every book by Olga, is pristine. Perhaps someone sees some hidden "Vedic" meaning in this, but most likely there is simply nothing to fill it with. Everything that the Vedic psychologist teaches is based on her personal experience. She claims that as soon as she left her job and became a Vedic wife, everything went well in the family, and her husband became rich.
Considering how actively Valyaeva's books are sold and how her seminars are in demand, the point is still not in 25 points, but in very competent brainwashing and skillful marketing. Olga writes about her husband as follows:
This means that she creates the content, and her husband, who is responsible for the technical part, promotes it. Such a Vedic family contract. But by the very existence of her business, Valyaeva contradicts herself. She, like her teacher Torsunov, claims that a woman should not work. It is quite logical to assume that providing your faithful with work is also not quite right.
Surely Valyaeva knows that she contradicts herself, but business is business. She offers her audience what they want to hear from her. What kind of woman refuses to dress beautifully and eat delicious food? And tears can become a real female magic – why think, analyze and work on relationships, if you can just burst into tears?
According to the books of the Vedic psychologist Valyaeva, it is harmful for women to work and it is absolutely not necessary to study. There is only one excuse for everything – any work destroys femininity and prevents you from being the keeper of the hearth. There is an expert in the field of Vedic female happiness and very practical recommendations, for example, to always walk in a skirt.
If you believe the author, it helps to get the energy of Mother Earth, because the trousers block the place where she can freely enter. Well, it is best to give up cowards-they also do not contribute to unity with higher forces. It is worth giving up cowards and life will improve – the spouse will become a millionaire, and in the house there will be grace and full mutual understanding.
From all of the above, we can only draw one conclusion – all these Vedic nonsense is just another way to impose on us a patriarchal way of life, which has long been abandoned in the civilized world. But why would a modern woman want to go where she has been trying to escape for so many centuries? It's simple – none of our compatriots is sure of the future. Women, despite the abundance of rights and opportunities, are still not protected by law from male arbitrariness.
Most men avoid paying alimony after a divorce, and it is almost impossible for a woman with two or more children to get a decent job. The allowance paid to single mothers is negligible and it is only enough for a pack of diapers. Isn't it easier to please your spouse in everything, as Torsunov and Valyaeva advise, in the hope that he will be happy with everything and stay in the family?
