An amazing triumph of the victory of human thought over the harsh elements. And, in every sense! Imagine: some specialists designed a ship that could reach the lifeless pole of the planet, others spent decades inventing and improving an aircraft, others (our favorites) developed highly sensitive sensors for cameras that could shoot in complete darkness. And now, sitting at the monitor with a cup of coffee, we can see this fantastic picture anywhere in the world!”

3. Before showing photos from the helicopter, I'll tell you how we reached the pole. About an hour before arrival, everyone gathered in the captain's cabin

4. Head of the expedition - Artur Nikolaevich Chilingarov

5. Captain Valentin Davydyants took the place of the first mate and took command of the ship. Pay attention to the monitor with a green picture - this is a radar that shows the ice situation, since the icebreaker does not go in a straight line, but chooses a path through gullies and cracks

6. A few minutes to the North Pole. The waiter came to the wheelhouse and kept champagne ready.

7. Finally, the goal is reached!

10. I already talked about how the relay race went in the very first post.

11. And now photos from a helicopter

12. I want to make a reservation right away: I did not fly exactly at the North Pole, because I saw that others were filming there and understood that the conditions were still very dark. I made an appointment for the next day at noon. Then, although it was still dark, I managed to more or less pull out some frames

16. For you to understand how dark it was, I left a couple of shots as they are.
