The Topless Tour started with one spontaneous Instagram photo, but went mainstream when fans cheered for it with many funny topless photos taken from the back.

1. The idea for The Topless Tour came about two years ago when friends Olivia Edginton, 20, Lydia Buckler, 21, and Ingvild Marstein Olsen, 20, dance school students in London, made this topless shot on the shore of a lake in his hometown of Ingvild in Norway.
“We didn’t plan anything, it happened by chance,” Olivia writes, explaining that the girls just wanted to enjoy the spirit of freedom.
2. Traveling through Europe and North America, the girls continued to take topless photos against the backdrop of majestic landscapes.
3. Then they encouraged other people to send them photos from all over the world. The public reacted actively, and pictures of people without clothes began to come from everywhere.
4. The most impressive by far is perhaps the picture of a girl bungee jumping in the Swiss Alps.
5. Topless Tour already has over 23,000 followers on Instagram and continues to grow. Most of the photos are sent by women, although there are also men posing topless.
6. “We could not even imagine that our idea would receive mass recognition and approval,” Olivia shares.
7. For the founders of the movement, the most enjoyable are the stories of the participants who joined it that the idea helped them to feel who they really are, “be proud of themselves and love their beautiful bodies again.”
8. One participant commented on her experience: “The pressure and judgment seemed to evaporate. Along with my shirt. I felt free, happy, myself.”
