Too honest tourist retro posters

Categories: Design and Architecture | Society | Travel

A Belgian illustrator and street artist under the pseudonym Monk HF travels around the world and explores the art of graffiti in different countries. But this time he decided to make a series of retro-styled tourist advertising posters that fully reflect the problems of the places he chose.

"I found an amazing illustrated poster about Palestine drawn by Franz Kraus — "Visit Palestine" in 1936 — and thought why not make a few more of these, in the same style, but on some pressing topics: environmental pollution, migration, war, etc. That's what happened as a result, but the project continues. Which city will be next?" the artist wrote.

Probably, the authorities of these cities and countries will not like these posters, but they are quite truthful and talk about what to really expect in this or that place.
