47-year-old British Carolina and Barry Sit sold his house in London, left his job and moved to the Seychelles in order to save the corals.
Now the couple with two daughters live on a small island Moian, and plans to create a coral farm to "revive" the local reef, which were deserted as a result of climate change and human action.
When the couple arranges a coral farm, they move to the larger island of Mahe, where their daughters can attend school.
The head of the family said that they decided to move after repeatedly saw the destruction of corals during a family holiday in the Seychelles.
The couple will be engaged in a charity project to grow corals on the Internet, and to raise funds for the restoration of the coral reef.
In addition, the pair plans to organize educational and informative tours for tourists and local schoolchildren. The family hopes that the recovery of the reef to attract even more tourists — given the crisis that Seychelles worried about coronavirus.
