The American woman underwent several heavy operations to lengthen her arms and legs. Metal rods were inserted into the woman's body, thanks to which she reached a height of 1.50 m. Kristen says that she does not regret the pain she suffered, because she was able to fulfill her dream - to live a normal full life.
The American woman was born with dwarf disease. In order to become at least a little taller, the American decided to undergo surgery to lengthen her limbs. Thanks to surgical interventions, she "grew" by 35 cm.
Kristen has achondroplasia — a genetic disease in which the bones of the legs and arms do not grow. When the girl turned 12, she decided to have a complicated operation to achieve the desired growth. In June 1998, surgeons performed a procedure to install special metal pins in the limbs.
The Florida resident stretched from 1.14 m to 1.50 m. She says the surgery has given her the opportunity to live a more functional and independent life. As a child, Kristen had to constantly adapt to the surrounding conditions because of her small stature.
The American woman's bones were stretched gradually, performing operations every four years. They were broken, and then additional clamps were installed to pull them out. Holes were made in the legs and metal rods were attached to them, inserting them directly into the bone. The rods were lengthened gradually until the bones reached the desired length. After that, the bones were given the opportunity to fuse completely.
During the operation, doctors corrected the deformity of the elbows, thanks to which Kristen was able to lower her arms and get rid of chronic pain. In addition, her arms have become 10 cm longer.
Nevertheless, some members of the dwarf community condemn the American woman's decision to do such complex operations for cosmetic purposes. They believe that you need to love and accept your body as it is. But Kristen doesn't agree with them. The woman claims that the lengthening of her limbs allowed her to live a full life and build a happy future that would be inaccessible without surgery.
You don't have to be tall to be successful with women. A dwarf from Australia became a favorite of ladies, starting to dance a striptease.
