Threw a zig — flew out of the club: how seven football players paid for a stupid joke

The sponsor of the German football club "1920 Miles", an ethnic Turk Engin Arslan, could not even imagine that the peculiar sense of humor of his wards, multiplied by his stupidity, could cost them their jobs. After asking the athletes to take an unusual comic picture, Engin received an offer to take a picture with "ziga".

The photo in which seven of the fifteen football players and the Turkish sponsor raised their hand in a Nazi salute came out as cute as Goebbels' family photos. The humor of the players seemed sparkling to the sponsor, and he immediately pleased Facebook users with a picture.

Despite the fact that Arslan promptly deleted the post from the photo on the same day, the owners of the football club put seven wits on the street, and then hastily severed business relations with the sponsor.

Perhaps it came as a surprise to the athletes that jokes with brown overtones are not in demand in Germany and have been considered "bayan" for more than 70 years, and you can get a criminal record for "zigu" at all. Both the players and the sponsor-entertainer repented of their stupidity and even took another photo, this time with a banner on which they ask for forgiveness. Nevertheless, the club's leaders remained adamant.

Moreover, this episode, which began funny for everyone, is now being investigated by the police. Young people and their gray-haired, but not endowed with oriental wisdom sponsor, can expect quite severe punishment by German standards, in the form of a hefty fine, community service and even imprisonment. Engin Arslan, the owner of the restaurant business, such a life experience is unlikely to be useful, so his excuses on social networks are especially eloquent.
