An old English sign says that the bride should be wearing "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue." A 120-year-old dress was responsible for the old one on Pennsylvania resident Abigail Kingston! Before that, the dress was worn by ten women of her family, the outfit was passed down from generation to generation.

The first dress was worn by Mary Warren, who got married in 1895. The last one— before Abigail—was worn by her mother Leslie Kingston in 1991.

The dress is not without problems: it was yellowed and torn. It took 200 hours of "restoration work" to put it in order. Abigail only wore it for a cocktail, as the dress was too fragile.
