That is the Meenakshi temple, located in the heart of the ancient city of Madurai. The temple is dedicated to goddess Parvati and her husband Shiva, and on its walls in the dance froze colorful figures of Hindu gods and heroes, the Rakshasa and apsaras.
We are amazed at the grandeur and beauty of Meenakshi. I'd like to see the wall live!

In the temple there is a patio with a pool where you can relax. The fish here is not usual, but water is an interesting legend associated: if the writer will bring his manuscript to the pond, drop the page into the water and they will not drown, the book is worthy to remain for centuries. If the paper falls to the bottom, then the book needs more work. (© Surajram / Wikimedia Commons)
