By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/the-robot-is-hitchhiking.htmlBuilt in Canada, the robot set off to hitchhike from one US coast to another. The adventure was organized by researchers from Ontario. At the moment, a robot named HitchBot managed to attend a wedding and a party of comic book lovers.
The robot, which began its journey July 17 from Boston, has yet to visit Times Square and Mount Rushmore. Final destination is San Francisco.
Along the way, the robot relies on strangers to recharge it, among other things. He, in turn, can tell something and keep the conversation going at the simplest level - to entertain the driver. Before the States, the robot managed to travel across Canada and European countries.
To prevent the HitchBot from getting lost, it has a built-in GPS system. It is also equipped with a camera that takes pictures every 20 minutes of travel. The robot has great success on twitter, facebook and instagram.
