The perfect Union: men and their cats

When American photographer David Williams started to make pictures of men with their Pets cats, he could not have imagined that the series will gain such popularity. Now a few dozen photos and stories about men who loves cats, has turned into a book and a separate blog on Tumblr.

"I started to make a series of "Men with cats" in 2009 in Colorado. The first character was a colleague of mine from groceries. He wore a long beard, listening to heavy rock and adored her cat. Then I began to look more and more real men, which is difficult to suspect in the love cats".

His book David wants to inspire people to treat the cats carefully — take them from shelters to help stray animals. He aims to change the perception of people. "I hope the photos and stories from the book will help people to get rid of gender stereotypes," says Williams.
