He gained worldwide fame thanks to a series of photographs of various corners of the Earth taken from the air: the project "Earth from the Air" (1995). A book of the same name was published, including in Russian, in 2002. Arthus-Bertrand has published about 60 books with photographs taken from above.
In total, 3 million books with his photographs have been sold worldwide. (See Part 2)
