In a cardboard box, everyone sees something different. Some use it as a storage container, for cats it is a great house, and Japanese artist Monomi Ono considers it the perfect material for her incredible 3D sculptures.

It all started when she was studying at Osaka University of the Arts. It was then that Monomi Ono decided to choose 3D animation as the main educational direction. But to get the necessary software for this, you need to pay a tidy sum. And in order not to spend such money, the girl decided to use a pile of empty cardboard boxes from under orders from Amazon as material for honing her 3D modeling skills.

What was intended as an educational practice turned into cardboard art. Empty boxes have become a universal substance that a Japanese woman can turn into anything, and this is not a figure of speech. Tanks, guns, pop culture characters, and even food - all made of cardboard!
