But it turns out that in fact everything is not as smooth as in the picture in social networks. American Instagram blogger Lissette Calveiro told a story about how she got into huge debts to take glamorous pictures for social networks.
It all started when Lissette moved from Miami to New York to train. According to the girl, she felt like in the movie "Sex and the City" and wanted to show her Instagram followers her new glamorous life. She spent all her savings on going to a restaurant with friends and shopping to create the illusion of a chic life.
The problem was that the internship fee was only enough for travel, and Lissette had to get a part-time job at the store. But still she had to save on every little thing to please subscribers with a beautiful life. In a few months, the debt has grown to $ 10,000.
The girl had to move to her parents in Miami and get a full-time job. And still Lissette kept spending. Every month she spent $200 on shopping so as not to be photographed in the same clothes. Once a month she tried to buy some designer accessory, for example, a Louis Vuitton bag worth $ 1,000. Well, what Instagram blogger can do without traveling? Every month Lissette went to a new place: Las Vegas, the Bahamas, Los Angeles - all for the sake of beautiful pictures. In 2016, she gave $700 for a ticket to Austin to get to a concert by singer Sia.
The situation changed at the end of 2016. Lissette was offered a job in New York, and the girl realized that she needed to tighten her belts. The glamorous image on Instagram had to be finished, otherwise she would simply have no money left to rent an apartment. The girl even hired a financial coach who helped her learn how to manage money and pay off debts.
Of course, it's hard to part with old habits. But Lissette found a way out. She still runs Instagram, but now she doesn't spend fabulous sums on new clothes, but rents them.
