The girl endured domestic violence from her husband named Biswajit and his family for many years. And all because Rita's family didn't pay enough money as a dowry. Therefore, when the opportunity came to sell his wife's kidney, he did not hesitate for a minute.
The operation went well, but the girl felt that something was wrong when Biswajit asked her not to tell anyone about the surgery. After returning home, Rita felt a sharp pain in her lower back, asked her husband to take her to the hospital, but he refused. The girl turned to her relatives for help. Rita was taken to the hospital, where it turned out that she did not have one kidney.
According to Rita's father, the girl got married in 2005. Then her family gave the groom a dowry in gold, silver and cash in the amount of $2,800, but this was not enough for Biswajit.
Rita went to the police with a statement against her husband, his brother and his mother. The men were arrested.
During the interrogation, Biswajit admitted that he had sold his wife's kidney to a businessman. But the man claims that everything was legal and Rita even signed the consent. But the girl denies it. According to her, she was under the influence of narcotic drugs and does not remember signing anything.
The police suspect that the men are members of a large group that is involved in the trafficking of human organs.
