The girl who escaped from the captivity of a serial killer shared tips for rescue in TikTok

An American woman who was abducted by a serial killer told TikTok users about her nightmare. In addition, she shared tips on how to behave in dangerous situations. Kara Robinson-Chamberlain became the only survivor on the list of victims of Richard Evonitz, who abducted girls near houses, raped and killed. Then 15-year-old Kara managed to escape from his lair and seek help from the police.

In June 2002, Kara Robinson-Chamberlain was watering flowers near a friend's house when a stranger pushed her into a car and took her to an unknown destination. It turned out to be serial killer Richard Evonitz.

Now the woman is 33 years old. She recently uploaded a video to TikTok in which she told her 181,000 subscribers about her nightmare. The American woman was held captive by a maniac for 18 hours, during which he raped her.

Kara said that the killer liked to collect small trophies in memory of his victims. He asked her a lot of questions and wrote down the answers. Meanwhile, the girl was memorizing all the details about the criminal in order to identify him if she managed to escape.

Evonitz drugged his victim, and she lost consciousness. The girl woke up tied to the bed next to the kidnapper. Fortunately, while the serial killer was sleeping, she managed to throw off the handcuffs, untie the ropes on her legs and escape from his house.

In Evonitz's apartment in South Carolina, police found evidence of his involvement in unsolved murders in Virginia. He killed three girls, abducting them the same way as Kara.

After her rescue, Kara graduated from school and went to work for the police: she became an employee in the victim assistance service. Recently, Kara started sharing safety tips on TikTok. The woman says that it is very important to remember all the details that will help identify the kidnapper.

Kara was able to free her hands because there was an uneven rim in one of the handcuffs, thanks to which the wrist slipped out. If your hands are tied with rope or cloth, you can try to chew it.
