This man created his own world inhabited by people, monsters and spirits. Murray's talent allowed him to tell the story of a gloomy metropolis, which he called the "City of Gates" in illustrations, and "reading" the chronicle of this fictional place is no less interesting than the real story.

Having done a great job, Murray published a series of artbooks "City of Gates" with amazing illustrations. They fascinate and make you come back to them again and again. The author's imagination, multiplied by his skill as an artist and diligence, gave us a real chronicle of a non-existent world.

Priests, warriors, magicians, terrible monsters and just people look at us from the illustrations of the "Gate City". The author endowed each of them with his own character and history. All of them are organically integrated into a frightening world filled with bizarre buildings, incomprehensible mechanisms and creepy landscapes. The detail of Murray's work is amazing — he is a real virtuoso in terms of details, textures and drawings.

The artist does not like to give interviews and is not particularly talkative when asked questions about his creations. He once said this about himself:

It's so simple, but behind these words are months of painstaking work. Artbooks "City of Gates" are published today in different countries of the world, including in Of Russia. The author does not stop working on the project, and each new edition comes out supplemented with new illustrations.

If you liked Murray's "City of Gates", then you will surely appreciate the warriors created by the fantasy of Michael S. Hayes
