No product has brought Apple as much success as the iPhone. It is thanks to this device that the Apple brand has become one of the most recognizable in the world. But the creation of such a product cost the company serious efforts. The first version of the iPhone was developed in complete chaos. The company did not have the necessary specialists, equipment and, most importantly, experience in the development and production of smartphones. It took 2.5 years and $150 million to create a fundamentally new device in such conditions. However, the game was worth the candle.

The iPhone 2G, Apple's first smartphone, immediately aroused public interest: after the start of sales, 700,000 devices were sold out. Metal body, no physical keyboard or stylus, finger control only. It all seems so mundane today, but in 2007 it was a real breakthrough. Despite the fact that work on the creation of the device was in a hurry, the product turned out to be successful, and there was demand for it. The first iPhone wasn't perfect, but it became a prototype for the concept of future smartphones. The iPhone OS was used as the first version of the operating system.

iPhone 3G has not been a year since the company unveils its next smartphone. iPhone 3G is entering the world market, residents of the Russian Federation have the opportunity to purchase the device on the territory of their country from official suppliers. The list of the main innovations includes an updated case design, support for GPS navigation, work in 3G networks. But the most lively interest among users was aroused by the App Store: it became possible to download the most diverse content to a smartphone.

iPhone 3Gs Updated version has more advanced technical characteristics. The iPhone is faster than its predecessor due to the Cortex-A8 processor (600 MHz), as well as the PowerVR SGX 535 video chip. The RAM was 256 MB. This was another serious challenge to the technologies of that time. Sales of the iPhone 3Gs have been successful, but at the same time Android devices with a more attractive price come into play.

The iPhone 4 smartphone released in 2010 set the pace of smartphone development for several years ahead. A completely rethought design, a new and fast A4 processor, a 5 megapixel camera with the ability to record HD video. With the release of the iPhone 4, there was such a thing as a Retina display, which was installed in the devices. The screen also receives reliable scratch protection and grease-repellent properties. The updated operating system is now called iOS. Apple has literally stuffed its new device with technological innovations, which in subsequent years are actively used by various manufacturers of mobile devices.

iPhone 4s The release of the new iPhone with the prefix "S" was met with a wave of indignation, which was argued by the "stagnation" in Apple. Many expected something fundamentally new, but they got a device that looks practically the same as its predecessor. Despite this, the smartphone's performance has doubled compared to the "four". Network communications have also been updated: the smartphone is now able to act as a Wi-Fi router, has received support for GLONASS and Bluetooth version 4.0. The camera has also improved: an 8 megapixel module is responsible for good pictures, and it is also possible to shoot video in 1080p resolution. However, the main update is still considered to be the introduction of the Siri digital assistant in iOS. Thanks to Siri, the iPhone became the first smartphone that supports voice control.

iPhone 5 2012. Inheriting the design elements of the successful "four", the iPhone 5 received an enlarged 4" display and became even more attractive, elegant and lightweight. Almost all elements of the technical component have been redesigned and improved. But the most important innovations are the enlarged display and the new Lightning interface. The iPhone 5 has broken all imaginable and unimaginable sales records: 5 million in three days, and 100 million devices sold in a year is a very serious figure.

iPhone 5s In 2013, the company was expecting another breakthrough. Apple managed to make a very balanced device in every sense, which is popular to this day. Even used and refurbished devices are readily sold out. There are a lot of updates in the iPhone 5s, here are just some of them:

The iPhone 5c, presented simultaneously with the iPhone 5S, was dubbed by many as a "stripped-down version of the iPhone 5s", which is not far from the truth. Most of the characteristics of the iPhone 5c correspond to the iPhone 5. That's just the case is plastic, not metal, and the smartphone is not equipped with a fingerprint scanner. The main feature of the iPhone 5c is the relatively low cost and bright colors of the case.

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus 2014. The appearance of smartphones has completely changed since the days of the "four". The iPhone 6 gets a 4.7” display, the iPhone 6 Plus - 5.5”, thus becoming the first phablet from Apple. Such a large display was received ambiguously, and the metal case lends itself to bending. Both devices run on an Apple A8 processor, and the internal memory has reached 128 GB. The camera "learned" how to shoot slow-mo video, and the Plus version received optical image stabilization. Apple Pay mobile payments feature is implemented in smartphones.

iPhone 6s and 6s Plus 2015. Having absorbed the appearance and the best qualities of previous models, the new devices have become even better. The phones received a reinforced housing made of aluminum 7000 series. For the first time, the iPhone is released with 2 GB of RAM. Smartphones run on an Apple A9 processor. Having received all the same 4.7 and 5.5 inches, their displays can recognize the force of pressing, thanks to 3D Touch technology. The number of megapixels in the main camera has increased to 12, and videos can now be recorded in 4K resolution.
