Built on the chassis from a Ferrari 512, Modulo, of course, has an impressive pedigree and has left its mark in the automotive world.
Ferrari 512 Modulo was first introduced at the Geneva motor show in 1970, but it was designed for a couple of years before that, the famous automotive designer Paolo Martin. This unusual car shocked the automotive world.
Martin's goal was to create the world's most incredible dream machine. It all started with a quick sketch in the margin of the draft. The owner of the company Pininfarina S. p.A. and colleague Martin Sergio Pininfarina skeptical of the design, thinking that the car is too futuristic and will be perceived poorly.
The design, by Martin, with its low-slung aerodynamic shape and almost horizontal windscreen, was absolutely innovative for the automotive world in the 1970s.
Martin sought to create a brand like no other concept car. Car with the average location of the engine shows a smooth, aerodynamic lines with a bold wedge shape, wheel caps front and rear and a large, nearly horizontal windshield. But when it was first conceived, the project of Martin was controversial.
Martin has finalized its design for two years, and, in the end, he managed to bring his idea to the prototype stage. Even Pininfarina, in the end, surrendered: he shook Martin's hand and apologized for his previous comments.
