The cat Widget with an eternally dissatisfied muzzle conquered the network

It is well known that the heroes of the Internet now are bloggers and animals with all sorts of peculiarities and deviations. Many cats and dogs with congenital defects, according to the number of subscribers, are plugged into the belt of famous YouTubers. Three years ago, a mega-popular cat named Grumpy Cat ("Angry") died.  For a long time, the place of the most dissatisfied face was vacant, but now it has been confidently occupied by a cat named Widget.

The Widget's story began in 2020, when five kittens got into a kennel for homeless animals in Carroll County, Tennessee. They were all 4 weeks old, but one kid stood out very much among his brothers. Widget's cat was the only white one in the company and the smallest. And she also had a face with a dissatisfied expression, which caused emotion in everyone who saw her.

Widget was born with a genetic abnormality — dwarfism. In the conditions of the street, such animals do not survive, so the cat was lucky that she got into a shelter. And then the Widget was lucky again — she had a mistress. Volunteer Michelle Roberts took a special kitten home and provided him with care and love.

Although the cat has become an adult, it still looks like a teenage kitten. She has short paws, and her weight does not exceed three kilograms. But the most important feature of the Widget that made her a star is the expression of her muzzle. Because of her illness, she seems constantly angry. The hostess tells about her pet like this:

Michelle has created an Instagram account for the Widget, which has already been subscribed to by almost 80 thousand people. Judging by the photos and videos posted by the hostess, the dwarf cat is not at all burdened by its appearance. She plays, eats, sleeps and studies everything around just like ordinary cats. Only the Widget does this with such an expression of the muzzle that I want to apologize to her for the imperfection of this world.

Gradually, the Widget ceased to be just an Instagram attraction. Memes with her appear on the web almost every day. Users mount pictures where the Widget sits next to Elon Musk, works at the DJ console and does a lot of other things.

Michelle Roberts does not hide that she would like to provide for herself due to the popularity of her cat. If Grumpy Cat was able to give its owners a comfortable life, then why not make it a Widget?
