Such structures can usually be seen in warm countries where there is no need to heat the room. But 32-year-old Joseph Dupuy broke the templates and built himself a home from containers in his native Canada. He says he easily experiences winter with temperatures over minus 30.

Dupuy bought three shipping containers worth three thousand dollars each and built a small house out of them in the woods. Why would he do that? The fact is that the Canadian is writing a scientific paper about inexhaustible energy. So he decided to check on his own skin whether solar panels can produce enough energy to heat the house. It turned out they could.
Dupuy installed a special heating and cooling system (in summer containers heat up like fried eggs in a frying pan) connected to solar panels on the roof. According to him, he spent last winter quite comfortably in his new home, when the thermometer often dropped below 30 degrees.
The adventurer spent about a month on the equipment of the house, working 14 hours a day. But now you can't tell from the interior that the dwelling was assembled with your own hands. Underfloor heating, stove, plans to paint the walls. And you don't have to pay for heating either.
