British photographer Mark French has been announced as the winner of the Urban Photographer of the Year award. The victory was brought to him by a photograph taken in Hong Kong, which he called "Looking good even at work."

The annual competition, run by the world's largest real estate company CBRE, is now in its sixth year and is the most significant of its kind. This year, over 12,500 photographs were submitted for the competition, a record number. Participants represented 118 countries from the coast of Chile to the deserts of Saudi Arabia.
