The best works of the MonoVisions Photography Awards 2019 competition

The best in the category "Single Photo" was the landscape shot "Element" by Swiss photographer Romain Thorne, who captured the first glimpses of the sun after a snowstorm in Iceland in February this year. The victory in the nomination "Series of photographs" was won by Marina Kazakova with the work "Poetics of Childhood".
MonoVisions magazine held its contest for the third year in a row. Black and white photographs in 12 categories were accepted for participation: "People", "Street photography", "Portrait", "Travel", "Abstraction", "Architecture", "Conceptual photo", "Fine Art", "Landscapes", "Wildlife", "Nude" and "Photojournalism". The winner in the nomination "Single photo" received a prize of $ 2,000; in the nomination "Series of photos" – $ 3,000.
The organizers of the event have already announced the acceptance of applications for the MonoVisions Photography Awards 2020. The competition is open to photographers at least 18 years old, with any level of training. Its main goal is to find, recognize and reward the best monochrome photographers from all over the world.
