Professional photographers most often work alone. Nicolaus Wegner and his wife Dove (Daow) - young American photographers from Wyoming are not among them. Nicholas Wegner does not part with his wife during the filming.

They photograph wildlife and are not afraid of close contact with it. Of course, the spouses adhere to certain safety rules during the shooting, but still try to convey the unity of man and the natural elements as closely as possible.

Nicholas and Dove from the city of Casper always do everything together and support each other, so they get tremendous pleasure from their work. They are very fond of the state of Wyoming, where tornadoes are a common and even somewhat boring phenomenon. Young photographers hope that their photos will speak for themselves about their attachment to the nature of their native lands.

The couple has been married for four years, and all this time they persistently and persistently chase storms and hurricanes, using weather forecasts and guided by experience and intuition.

Most of the photos were taken in Wyoming, but some in the neighboring states of Montana and Nebraska. If Nicholas and Dove are not busy chasing storms, they work like wedding photographers.

They don't chase tornadoes on purpose and haven't seen them that often in four years — only about ten times. They are not "tornado hunters" and are not going to become them: for Wyoming residents, tornadoes are a routine, dangerous and not so exciting.

The biggest danger of such photo shoots is lightning. Hail takes an honorable second place in the list of deadly risks. When lightning flashes continuously around, the couple sits in the car and tries not to touch anything metal or electronic.

Despite the fact that the bad weather has never put them in a situation of struggle for life, the spouses always have at least one alternate escape route ready. And if they feel that the situation is getting out of control, they immediately pack up and leave.
