Americans Michael Metz and Ashley Millican specially came to the UK to see the Queen, Prince Harry and his fiancee Meghan Markle. On Christmas morning, the couple traveled to Norfolk to see the royal family at Sandringham Palace.
The correspondent of the Sky News channel filmed those who wanted to look at the royals and asked to comment on their arrival and expectations from the meeting. It is unlikely that Ashley then assumed that Meghan and Harry would take a back seat.
When the correspondent approached Michael and asked why it was so important for him to see the royal family this Christmas morning, the guy ignored the question, got down on one knee in front of his companion and said that he wanted to spend every Christmas in his life with Ashley. He took out a box with a ring and asked his beloved to marry him. It came as a complete surprise to Ashley. She was covering her face with her hands, and tears were rolling down her cheeks. "Oh my God, yes!" the girl replied to the proposal.
Those present immediately forgot about the royal family and applauded Ashley and Michael.
Michael said that he planned to propose to a girl in England, but did not think that it would all happen that way.
The couple plans to get married in 18 months.
