Launched in 2015 by a couple of professional photographers who wanted to promote wildlife conservation through humor, the Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards this year received more than 7,000 entries from around the world, and 42 of them were selected as finalists. 10% of the net profit from this year's awards will be donated to the charity Save Wild Orangutans.
The winners in the overall standings and categories will be announced on October 22, and the main winner will receive a week-long Kenyan safari, as well as a handmade trophy.
