Taking into account these tragic statistics, analysts have compiled a "rating" of the most dangerous Russian professions, which included not only miners and sailors, but even ordinary farmers and scavengers. The "Black Top 10" was published by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to analysts from Adzuna. Let's figure it out.

It is noteworthy that the place of a particular profession in the list of dangerous does not depend on the level of wages, and hence the status of the employee — both high-paid and low-paid positions are included in the top 10.

The first place in the "rating" is occupied by the profession of a fisherman. It is reported that the death rate (calculated based on the number of deaths per 100 thousand people in this industry) is 40.3 here. According to the study, the salary of fishermen in Russia is about 39 thousand rubles a month.

The builders have a sad silver in this case (the coefficient is 17.9). It is known that their average salary is slightly less than that of fishermen — 34 thousand rubles a month.

Drivers are in third place in the list of dangerous professions (the death rate at the wheel while working was 17.3). The salary of Russian drivers, by the way, is much higher than that of the workers mentioned above — 48 thousand rubles.

A little less dangerous were the professions of a logger (coefficient 15.7 and average earnings — 37 thousand rubles), a miner (12.9 — coefficient and 51 thousand rubles — salary) and a sailor (with a coefficient of 11.3, the average salary here is one of the highest — 331 thousand rubles).

In addition, farmers were included in the top 10 dangerous professions. Analysts who have published a rating of mortality at work emphasize that the coefficient of tragic situations among agricultural workers was 10.9 (very close to the mortality rate among sailors). The average earnings of farmers in Russia is 32.5 thousand rubles.

The profession of a pilot is also called dangerous (the rating compilers do not specify whether civil or military aviation is in question, however, if we take into account that the "black" coefficient here is 10.5, then we are most likely talking about civil aviation). The average salary of a pilot in the Russian Federation is 362 thousand rubles.

But that's not all. The profession of... a scavenger got into the top 10. Unexpectedly, this job turned out to be one of the most dangerous in Russia — 40 people died in 2017, and the death rate was 8.4. The salary of a garbage collector is one of the lowest in the country — 22 thousand rubles.

The workers of manufacturing plants complete the "black ten". Here the mortality rate was 4.4, but the salary turned out to be the same as that of the builders — 34 thousand rubles.

It is also worth noting that all the professions voiced in the "rating" are predominantly male — there are very few women among fishermen, miners and pilots, but there are none at all among sailors.
