Stray dogs before and after the shelter

Every year, on the third Saturday of August, the World Day of Homeless Animals takes place. This day appeared on the calendar with the filing of the International Society for Animal Rights in 1992 with the support of organizations from different countries involved in the protection of animal rights. This is not a holiday and not a reason for joy, but an occasion to remember about the problem of homeless animals, tell the maximum number of people about their tragic fate and think about what can be done for our less disadvantaged brothers.

There are a lot of stray dogs. Look out the window, for sure, a frightened, but still not lost faith in a man, four-legged friend is running near your house. Many pass by, someone does even worse, but, fortunately, there are people who cannot remain indifferent. This post is partly about them.

These dogs were abandoned, lost or simply had no home from birth, they were found by shelter workers, cured, fed and warmed. And many of these kind and affectionate creatures soon found a new home and loving owners. Respect dogs, because, as they say, there is no creature more loyal than a dog!

This little girl was found loitering on the streets of Antigua, West Indies. Her name is Berda.

And this is Berda before going to her new home — noticeably cheerful and stronger.

This poor guy was found near the Cedar Golf Course, after which he was named.

And this is the same Cedar, only noticeably plumper and happy, because he found a new home.

That's how they found this poor guy, who was nicknamed Coffee.

And this is how Coffee looked after a month of living in a shelter.

Sumo was found tied to a fence on a short leash.

And this is Sumo after some time in a dog shelter. Healthy and happy doggie!

Izu was found on the side of the road in August.

And in January, she was already like a cucumber — running around the shelter and happily wagging her tail.

Shelly was also found by the road, not far from the airport.

And two weeks later Shelly was ready to move into a new house!

This shaggy guy's name is Rugby.

And this is Rugby after a haircut and treatment (although the collar had to be worn a little while it was being treated for worms).

Skinny was found in January — a thin, frightened dog who hadn't eaten for several days.

But after a month, Skinny looked quite healthy and active.Take a look at the shelter, perhaps you will find there a faithful friend who is looking for love and care.
