Smoking vapes and electronic cigarettes leads to infertility

Recently, the use of electronic cigarettes has been presented as a less harmful alternative to smoking. The emphasis is placed on the fact that vapour from vapes does not contain gorenje products, but only nicotine. But do not flatter yourself, if the probability of lung cancer decreases, then this does not mean that fans of "soaring" are not threatened by other ailments. Studies have shown that vaping has a negative effect on hormonal balance and can inhibit reproductive function.

Scientists from the USA studied the issue from 2012 to 2018. They took semen and blood samples from 2,000 young men and analyzed them. Additionally, the study participants took a questionnaire in which they answered questions about lifestyle, intimate relationships, well-being and bad habits. Most of the guys were 18-19 years old at the start of the study.

As a result, 1,221 people or 61 percent of respondents admitted that they use electronic cigarettes. Approximately half, 52 percent, reported that they occasionally or constantly smoke cigarettes. 13 percent of respondents announced their addiction to vaping. 25 percent snorted tobacco, and 33 percent smoked "weed". At the same time, fans of electronic cigarettes were often not against the usual ones and sometimes smoked marijuana.

Semen analysis of vaping and e-cigarette smokers showed that their sperm count was reduced to 91 million, with an average of 147 million.  Smokers of ordinary cigarettes fared better — 103 million viable spermatozoa were counted in their sperm.

But that's not all. The blood test of smokers of different stripes also did not please. It turned out that the testosterone level of fans of "electronok" and "vapes" is below the norm by 6 — 50 percent. A large range of values is associated with the fact that someone "soared" more, and someone less. Not a single respondent with a normal male hormone content was found in the groups of smokers.

From this we can conclude that alternative methods of obtaining nicotine are not so harmless at all. Reproductive functions suffer from them quite a lot, and besides, masculinity itself gets a blow!  There was also a funny moment in an article about the study published in a scientific journal.

American doctors emphasized that despite the damage to male productivity, vapes cannot be used as contraceptives. They probably guessed that someone would try to protect themselves with an icos or an electronic hookah. And what, history knows a lot of stupid and even dangerous ways of protection.
