As part of the campaign, photos were taken of Dunham, the creator and one of the actresses of the series, and her colleagues posing in a beautiful Brooklyn apartment. Unlike the usual advertising campaigns, the photos were not processed additionally and represent the actresses as they are.
These photos are part of a large Lonely Girls project that started in 2009. It consists of many inspiring photos of women from all over the world in their familiar surroundings.
