PictolicThe long-awaited New Year's holidays are on the nose, and photographers of different stripes are in the midst of New Year's photo shoots. But with a good camera and straight hands, beautiful shots can be made even at home! See the continuation of our series of posts on how to take great photos in ordinary locations.
Photographer Irene Rudnyk from Canada shared the process of shooting a New Year's photo shoot, demonstrating how to make magical atmospheric portraits in the most ordinary setting. The Christmas spirit just overwhelms these pictures, which took only three "ingredients" to create: cute model, light from the window and Christmas garlands.
In her short video, which you will find below, Irene showed the amazing process of creating charming portraits, told in detail about the preparation and how everyone can do something like this in their room.
The photographer took pictures in an ordinary bedroom, and to give a New Year's atmosphere, she attached long garlands to the ceiling to create a warm glow. Her model, Emily, was standing at the window during the shooting.
During the photo shoot, she positioned the lights of the garlands in different positions to achieve an atmosphere that is ideal for creating a feeling of winter and celebration.
For shooting, the photographer used a Canon 5D Mark III digital SLR camera and a Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens.
