Now, finally, the journalists of The Times under the supervision of scientists conducted an experiment and found out how much you need to drink in order not to embarrass myself on the dance floor.

In the experiment, The Times was attended by 55 people, was watching a Professor of neuropsychopharmacology David Nutt. Test subjects were to play the dance game Just Dance on the Xbox. Its essence is that players gain points for the correct execution of dance moves. The participants started to play sober and then started drinking glass after glass of wine.

First, the average score was not very high (4400 points). But as consumption of alcohol, he began to grow. The peak on the sixth glass (a bottle) — when the average score reached 6200 points, and then began to decline, despite the fact that the enthusiasm of the participants decreased.

Nutt also believes that this experiment has its drawbacks. One of the problems is that it is not known how well the subjects danced to the experiment: can a player not because of bad drinking, dancing, and in principle wrong with this, and he needs more time and alcohol. Besides were not recorded the degree of intoxication of the participants relied on their own assessment that with each drunk a glass became less reliable source of information. Nutt suggested next time to use a special apparatus.
